CP Asia has appointed Oliver Maratos as Director of Business Development for AEROGRID® globally. The role carries worldwide responsibility for territory partner development as the platform moves from commercial validation toward the Showcase array deliveries scheduled for December 2026.
Why this appointment, now
The Vanguard Programme is entering the stage where technical validation turns into commercial commitments. Territory partners are selecting sites, modelling local yield and negotiating grid connection ahead of the 2027 MW-scale production queue. That work is less about the technology than about structuring deals across very different markets — which is the shape of Oliver's career.
Background
Oliver brings over 25 years of professional experience managing and operating businesses across many sectors in Europe and Asia. He holds a BSc in Science and a BA (Hons) in Business Management from Crewe & Alsager University.
He has owned and operated digital media companies in the UK, property management and construction companies in Murcia, Spain, and gold mines in South Lombok, Indonesia. He has held senior management positions in several blockchain development and decentralized finance organizations, and is the founder of Asia's biggest sports memorabilia company.
That range matters here. AEROGRID® territory partnerships sit at the meeting point of energy infrastructure, construction, project finance and regional market access — and Oliver has operated a business on each side of that intersection rather than advised on it from a distance.
Focus in the role
Oliver is already actively involved with energy infrastructure, project management, technology and its commercialization throughout the APAC region. In the new role he will lead:
- Territory partner development across the Vanguard Programme
- Commercial structuring for Showcase array deployments from December 2026
- Regional market entry, with an initial emphasis on the APAC corridor
- Partner readiness ahead of the 2027 MW-scale production allocation
